"Violetta has a deep knowledge of group dynamics and processes. Her approach to facilitating groups
allows for the discovery of new solutions and dramatically advances a group in their thinking and ability
to work together. For example, she helped facilitate a youth leadership camp I had organized. While at the
camp, one of the youth co-facilitators was hurt by an act of racism. With coaching and support from
Violetta, that facilitator worked on the spot to shift the agenda to discuss the impact of race and exclusion
with the whole group. By attending to what was important and emergent in an organized way, the group
had a breakthrough in the understanding of the impact of racism and the practice of inclusion. This
breakthrough shifted the agenda of the leadership camp, opening the group to rich ways to explore and
learn more deeply about how to work through difficult issues of exclusion and racism in a deep and
